Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite has yet to roll out, and dataminers have already unearthed some big details from it.

From the look of things, the highly anticipated fighting game will have more than 30 characters, and most notably, it might have a playable hunter and Elder Dragon from Monster Hunter but no X-Men superheroes.

Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite Roster Revealed Early

The list of playable characters in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is making rounds online via Reddit and Twitter.

If this is indeed the whole package, then here's the lineup in the Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 successor:

• Arthur

Black Panther

• Captain America

• Captain Marvel

• Chris

• Chun Li

• Dah'ren Moran

• Dante

• Death

• Dormammu

• Doctor Strange

• Frank

• Gamora

• Ghost Rider

• Haggar

• Hawkeye

• Strider Hiryu

• Hulk

• Hunter

• Iron Man

• Jedah

• Mega Man X

• Morrigan

• Nemesis

• Nova

• Red Arremer (aka Firebrand)

• Rocket Raccoon

• Ryu

• Sigma

• Spencer

• Spider-Man

• Thanos

• Thor

• Ultron

• Venom

• Winter Soldier

• Zero

That's not all, either. The list includes some vague entries, such as Pluto Grand Master (could it be the Grandmaster?), Xgardlen, and Symbiote Huge and Symbiote Soldier, which could be referring to Agent Venom.

It's worth mentioning that the Monster Hunter Elder Dragon is Dah'ren Mohran, which can also be spotted at the 1:22 mark of one of the trailers (posted below). Then of course there's the Hunter entry, and that means there could be a playable generic hunter in the game too.

More than that, Frank could be Frank West, and the two for Rocket Raccoon (RRaccoon_1.zip and RRaccoon_2.zip) could be the gunslinging coon and Groot. Thanos also seems to have a Restraint version, while Ultron gets a Sigma and Omega versions.

As for the other weird labels (arrange2 and arrenge2), they could indicate that some characters will have alternate forms, but that's just mere speculation at this point. Interestingly enough, Ryu and Mega Man are tagged with them, which may be for Evil Ryu and X's different armors.

Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite May Not Have 'X-Men' Characters

As a first for the series, Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite won't have any superheroes from X-Men.

Needless to say, this seems odd, as most X-Men characters have typically been top-tier or at least on a competitive level, including but not limited to Magneto, Storm, Wolverine, Sentinel, Cyclops, and Cable.

If this turns out to be true, then some players who have traditionally picked them will have to switch up their picks and look for replacements.

The Bottom Line

Dataminers may have discovered the full roster of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, and while it includes some interesting entries, it lacks X-Men superheroes.

At any rate, it gives a better idea of what could be in store.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is expected to launch on Sept. 19 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It's already up for preorder on its official website and Steam, and it's available in the Standard Edition for $59.99, the Deluxe Edition for $89.99, and the Collector's Edition for $199.99.
