LG unveiled a trio of new smartphones under its Q Stylus line: the LG Q Stylus, Q Stylus+, and Q Stylus a.

The three smartphones come with large 6.2-inch displays with stylus support, shaping up as affordable alternatives to the high-end Samsung Galaxy Note 8. No pricing details are available at this point, but the handsets' specifications indicate a budget-friendly price tag for their category.

LG Q Stylus Specs

The new LG Q Stylus smartphones come with mid-range specifications and some premium features, such as handwritten input, high-end camera features, superior audio quality, and a sleek metal body.

When it comes to specifications, all handsets have 6.2-inch full HD (1080p) displays, octa-core processors, IP68 certification for dust and water resistance, and a 3,300 mAh battery that should ensure good performance on a single charge.

It's worth noting that for the Q Stylus line, the "+" and "a" written in superscript.

The highest-end of the bunch is the LG Q Stylus+, which features 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of internal storage space, a 16-megapixel main camera, and an 8-megapixel or 5-megapixel front shooter with Super Wide Angle lens.

The middle handset is the LG Q Stylus, featuring 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage, a 16-megapixel rear camera, and an 8-megapixel or 5-megapixel front camera with Super Wide Angle.

The base model, the LG Q Stylus a, comes with 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of native storage space, a 13-megapixel main camera, and a 5-megapixel front shooter with Super Wide Angle.

All three models have phase-detection autofocus, microSD support for up to 2 TB of additional storage, LG's QLens technology similar to Google Lens, and a Smart Rear Key fingerprint scanner that can also serve as a shutter button for the front camera. All devices in LG's Q Stylus line run Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.

The LG Q Stylus, Q Stylus+, and Q Stylus a will be available in one or more configurations, depending on the market.

Mid-Range Smartphones With Premium Features

"This phone is another example of LG's promise to deliver a wider selection of devices this year with premium features designed to meet the diverse needs of today's evolving smartphone users."

When it comes to pricing and availability, LG says that it will announce more details when it becomes available.
