Halloween is about to pass, but Nintendo is not yet done giving us chills. Luigi's Mansion 3 for the Nintendo Switch will be released today, and there's a way to get it for less than the SRP.

For one day only, Luigi's Mansion 3 will be available at Walmart stores for only $49.94. Walmart's $10 discount is only applicable today and for physical copies only. Over at Walmart.com, the game is still listed at the price of $59.99.

The game is worth every penny of the full price, and the $10 discount is just icing on top of the cake. So if you're planning to get the game, drive to your local Walmart today to get your copy.

Luigi's Hotel

Luigi's Mansion 3 gives the titular character another frightening adventure. This time, he finds himself in a tall, haunted hotel.

Luigi and friends got tricked into visiting the hotel by its owner, who's working with Luigi's nemesis, King Boo. With only him having any form of experiencing fighting ghosts, it's now up to Luigi to brave the ghostly corridors to save his friends.

The game improves on the mechanics from the previous games of the series. With his trusty Ghostbusters-inspired vacuum cleaner, Luigi has to capture ghosts and spirits under the control of King Boo. In a more open-ended approach in the Luigi's Mansion formula, this game will surely give players a liberating and thrilling experience.

Grab Them While They're Hot

Observant gamers who frequent Walmarts would notice that the superstore is very keen at offering day-one discounts for games.

They've done the same treatment for popular games regardless of genre and platform. This ranges from Fire Emblem: Three Houses for the Nintendo Switch and Borderlands 3 for PS4 and Xbox One.

Walmart's strategic pricing puts it ahead of its online competitors. Although online stores like Amazon and Best Buy would match the price of any discounted item online, their prices are unaffected by brick and mortar stores.

Offering the day-one discount for their physical games, therefore, incentivizes people to visit a Walmart store to get a good deal. As an added sweetener, bringing gamers to the store would likely make them do more purchases, a behavior that would not be replicated on online purchases.

Other Big Releases

November is a big month for gaming, and Nintendo Switch owners will find no shortage of new games to play moving into the Holiday season.

Puzzle lovers should revisit the Layton series with the upcoming Layton's Mystery Journey Deluxe Edition, which is set to release on Nov. 8. Sports fans should check out Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, which will be out on Nov. 8 as well.

Pokemon Sword & Shield will be coming out on Nov.15. The latest entry to the Pokemon franchise would be Nintendo's biggest release after Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey.

Meanwhile, classic FPS fans should check out DOOM Eternal and Doom 64, both of which will be releasing on Nov.22.
