Did you already have an experience of 'accidentally' deleting your game's progress on your gaming console? It's frustrating, isn't it? Luckily, there are things you can do to make sure that will never happen again. Whether accidentally clicking that 'deleted' button or electricity gone out in the middle of your game, there are hacks you can do to save your life from your different video games still.

'Deleted Game?' Hacks to Save it From Being Deleted Again

Restoring your game from accidentally deleting it on your database is a sure difficult thing for most gamers-- especially for "non-tech experts." However, if you're looking forward to absolutely 'not deleting it' on purpose, there's a word called 'backing up' to prevent your game from being totally erased from any gaming consoles you are using right now.

For PS4 Players

To give you a heads up and an assuring mind, Sony's Playstation guarantees its players that saving your game is an easy thing to do for all of their games. Once you played on a PS4, the device will automatically save your progress on a cloud that you can, afterward, go back on to play some more. However, not all progress can be automatically saved on the cloud-- especially if you are not under any gaming account. To assure your mind (and your heart) on never deleting your game's progress on PS4, here are some steps:

  • Click the 'Options' button
  • Sync 'Trophies' with your account
  • Insert the USB storage device that you plan on using for the back up into one of the PS4's USB ports
  • Go to 'Settings' > 'System' > 'Backup and Restore'
  • Confirm which data you'd like to back up
  • Customize the name of the backup file and highlight then press 'X'

For Xbox One users

When you're using Xbox One, rest assured that your game's progress is automatically saved on the cloud-- whether you have an account or not-- however, you can still save your game through connecting an external hard drive.

  • Go to 'Settings'
  • Choose 'Backup & transfer'
  • Click 'Back up my settings'
  • Choose 'Back up to device'

For Nintendo Switch users

Just like the other two gaming consoles, Nintendo Switch also automatically saves its games progress. Still, here are some tips to back it up.

  • Open for 'Software Menu'
  • Select 'Save Data Cloud Backup'
  • Choose 'Back Up Save Data'

How About Other Devices?

Since its holidays, there are some scenarios that other people might use your gadgets without your consent. In this case, you'll need to back things up before things get too 'personal.'

For 4K Smart TV

In the case of Chromecast, Roku, or Amazon Fire TV, everything is stored in the cloud, so you do not have to worry about having your favorite films or tv shows erased. That's a relief.

For Memory Cards or USB sticks

When it comes to memory cards or USB sticks, there are tons of applications out there that you can use to protect your data on these devices. For starters, you can plug in your memory cards or USB on your laptop and transfer all the files in Google's Back up and Sync or through the ever-reliable 'Dropbox.'
