Microsoft, themselves, have finally stated that they will be working to correct the given issue which causes a number of Xbox Series X controllers to automatically disconnect and reconnect which can be really annoying in-game. A fix for the particular controllers is said to be on its way.

According to an article by CNET, a fix for the particular faulty Xbox Series X controller issue is coming its way according to the official company statement on Tuesday. The company even added its own recommendation for the consumers and users to update their Xbox Series X along with the latest given controller firmware.

In an email that a Microsoft person sent to CNET, it was stated that the company is aware of the problem in which a number of players are currency experiencing automatic disconnection with their brand new Xbox Wireless Controllers. It was then stated that the teams are now actively working towards a solution in order to be included in an upcoming future update.

Xbox Series X controller problem: not connecting

The issue was actually reported some time earlier in an article by The Verge and it expands saying it can actually occur across both the black and blue versions of the new Xbox Series X controller. This problem was reportedly shared by hundreds of different users that had complained on Microsoft's own Xbox forum. The complaints were estimated to have started back in mid-November when the particular console was just newly released and is still continuing today.

As of the moment, there are quite over 400 responses to this particular thread on the official forum. About 1,700 people have also reportedly clicked the button that says that they have the exact same question. This would mean that the faulty Xbox Series X controllers could be more than just an isolated event but actually due to the controllers themselves.

Xbox Series X controller fix

An article by GameRevolution offers what could be called an Xbox Series X controller issue temporary fix. This can be done by following seven different steps. However, this is an unofficial fix and is still not the way to permanently fix the Xbox Series X controller problems.

  1. Start by resetting the Xbox console through holding down the console's power button

  2. Unplug the Xbox Series X from its main power source

  3. Power off the Xbox Series X controller and remove its own batteries

  4. Plug in as well as turn on the Xbox Series X

  5. Turn on the controller

  6. Press the pairing button located on the Xbox Series X and hold it for a period of time

  7. Press the pairing button located on the Xbox Series X controller but not actually holding it

Once again, this is an unofficial fixing method so it is still not a guarantee that the Xbox Series X controller problems would be automatically and permanently fixed.
