Some AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT graphics processing units were seized by the Chinese customs. Authorities that the confiscated GPUs were being shipped between the border of Shenzhen and Hong Kong.

They added that the computer components were on their way to XFX's Chinese sales partners. But, because of some issues, 5,840 GPUs were seized by the Chinese authorities.

According to Tech Spot's latest report, the Chinese customs were opening some packages containing the expensive graphics processing units.

The GPUs involved in the halted shipment have the official logo of XFX. But, the authorities did not specifically provide the name of the electronics company.

Instead, the logo was revealed by a video leaked on the Chinese website called Weibo. On the other hand, the Chinese authorities said that all the computer components cost more than $3 million.

However, because of wrong product titles and specifications declared in the shipment, the AMD Radeon RX 6700 XTs were seized.

Right now, the official website of XFX is currently down. On the other hand, Alibaba-run storefront Tmall removed the listing of its products containing the confiscated GPUs.

XFX's Shipment Issues

Rumors claimed that three graphics cards' labels were covered by another label to hide the real name of the GPUs, as well as their features. 

Because of this, the packages were inspected by the Chinese Customs. As of the moment, XFX's officials haven't released any statement regarding the seizing operation. 

Meanwhile, some people who watched the video believe that XFX intentionally mislabelled their AMD Radeon RX 6700 XTs. They added that the electronics company wants to evade import taxes implemented by the Chinese government. 

As of the moment, the advanced AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT is one of the most popular GPUs in the market, especially since it is efficient when it comes to crypto mining. 

WePC released the result of their hash rate test for this graphics processing unit and discovered that it can reach 46.96 MH/s when mining Ethereum. 

Aside from this, the in-demand AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT is also one of the top-performing GPUs when it comes to HD gamings. 

In other news, AMD Ryzen 2000 and Intel 7th-Gen CPUs are no longer compatible with Windows 11 Android applications. Meanwhile, the Intel 13th Gen Raptor Lake CPU is expected to have 24 cores and 32 threads.
