When the moon is bright and full, the big bad wolf howls!

This seems to be the case for the new gamepack of Sims 4, shortly after The Sims developer Maxis released a 15-second video on Twitter, featuring an in-game Sim watching TV and switching its channels, until the screen depicted a night-time landscape with a full-moon.

Off the TV screen and in the background a wolf howls before the Sim switches to a different channel.

Sims fans are compelled to believe that it will include werewolves since one of the upcoming game packs for this summer is called Go Wild.

There will also be two kits set for release, they are called Chic Nights Out and Cozy Nights In. The TV screen in the teaser also showed a family sitting around a barbeque while the second one depicts a woman blowing a kiss. Hence, these could be clear hints on what should be expected for the game.

Roadmap Theories

The Roadmap Teaser featured a starry background, neon font, and a plumbob, showing a galaxy aesthetic design. But what was most striking to fans is the quote "This Season, It's Light Out."

Fans were quick to hop on their theories and speculations for the new game pack, the Sims Community gathered all the replies under the Roadmap Teaser Post and posted a Quick Community Poll where their members can vote for the most probable theme for Sims 4.

Overall, 12 suggestions were written by the community and some of them were Nightlife, Werewolves, Realm of Magic Refresh, Into the Future, and many more.

This means that the community seems to be hitting all the hints and predicting the new game pack with accuracy!

History of Werewolves in The Sims

The werewolves were already present in The Sims 3: Supernatural Expansion Pack, which included vampires, genies, fairies, witches, zombies, and other supernatural creatures. According to fans, the theory that the new game will feature werewolves is not far-fetched since some of the creatures are already in The Sims 4.

Werewolves have notably been a highlight in The Sims lore since the introduction of The Sims: Makin' Magic where players can cast a Beauty or Beast spell on other Sims, which transforms them into werewolves.

In The Sims 2: Pets, players could turn into Werewolves when they get bitten by the leader of the pack or when they encounter a savage interaction. Werewolves in this game had the ability to fight burglars, train dogs, and if the player wants to go back as a normal Sim, they can get cured by the Gypsy matchmaker.

But the potentials of werewolves were explored further in The Sims 3: Supernatural, where they wielded werewolf skills known as Lycanthropy and they were also notably high in the game's social hierarchy.

In the event of a full moon in the game, werewolf Sims will transfer, and there is always chaos and bloodbath that ensues.

When is the Release Date?

Maxi has not made further announcements on the official date of release but from their Roadmap teaser, they said that two kits are set to arrive in May and June 2022.
