The government of China is now preparing to unveil the remaining information about the Tiangong space station.

The controversy behind this orbiter involves the United States, which had hindered the country in creating its own version of the ISS (International Space Station).

China will announce further details about the under-construction Tiangong Space Station in the following days.

According to a report by Newsweek, the Chinese space agency will soon send three astronauts into its own space station. The involved people will be living aboard the under-construction Tiangong space station.

As part of this trip, the Shenzhou XIV spacecraft will be carrying them this month. China says that space travel will last for six months.

Initially, the group will start in Inner Mongolia, particularly at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center on Sunday, June 5.

According to the state media, there will be a scheduled take-off in the "coming days." In connection with this, China is eyeing to release two lab components in the next few months.

The first one is slated to be launched in July, while the second component will be released in October.

"After the space labs, the Tianzhou 5 cargo craft and the Shenzhou XV crew are scheduled to arrive at the massive orbiting outpost around the end of the year," China Daily reports.

China Teams Up With Russia to Rival US Space

The Tiangong space station is reportedly located 250 miles above the planet. According to a story by Bloomberg, China unveiled a crystal-clear image of its own space station last week.

If the plan goes accordingly, the Tiangong space station will be finished soon. This would make China the only country that managed to develop its very own ISS.

For the past years, China has been posting stellar records when it comes to space ventures. In 2021, it touched down on Mars. Two years before this happened, the team successfully landed on the moon.

To boost its competency when it comes to space missions, Chinese President Xi Jinping is partnering with Russia for the upcoming space projects.

The collaboration aims to rival the United States in terms of its dominant position in the market. Apart from that, this would also help the governments to carry out future activities outside the planet.

Regarding the Tiangong space station, it's noteworthy to see that the orbiter features Chinese flags on the exterior part. There are also green stripes that can be found on the cylinders.

It should be noted that the cabin can occupy up to six persons, People's Daily reports. Additionally, one hatch will be intended for the cargo while the other two will be for the astronauts.

Last year, Tech Times wrote an article about the US-China space competition. According to the report, China is 20 years ahead of the United States in terms of Mars exploration.
