According to a teaser video by Qualcomm's Snapdragon, a new "clock is ticking" talks about its connections with a smartwatch that also shows clips of internal components. It talks about one thing, and it is a future device that would power smartwatches and bring a new processor from the massive tech company.

It is unknown which smartwatch it would bring its processors to, but speculations from reports, including one from The Verge, talk about its arrival on Wear OS devices. The Wear OS devices run on their native chips, which their companies manufactured for them but are not meant for the dedicated operating system.

This new device may be a way to answer that and give the world what it needs for its next wearable.

Qualcomm Snapdragon: Smartwatch Processors

Snapdragon is famous for creating processors for the smartphones and tablets available in the world, but not so much for smaller tech wearables, including watches. However, it may be high time for the company to branch out and bring its features to the world.

Now, it is through the smartwatches that Qualcomm would bring its features and capabilities for an experience like no other.

Google and Samsung's Wear OS

Google and Samsung developed the Wear OS that released last year, and it gave the world many features to experience on their compatible devices that bring the top functions for a wearable. It brought features like online YouTube Music streaming over 4G LTE, allowing people to access more of their fitness tracking and its use as a significant accessory.

The Galaxy Unpacked event last August 2021 brought the world the first public release of the Wear OS, and the public saw the feature for their eyes that aims to provide them with a smartwatch system for their needs. It seeks to go against top market competitors, focusing on smartwatches, including Apple, Xiaomi, Huawei, and more.

However, the Wear OS is something that most Android devices may adapt to their smartwatch partners, depending on their licensing deal with Google.

Now, there would be a new age for the Wear OS, as they would have a dedicated processor that would power their watches and work well with its operating system. Qualcomm would bring its features to the world and debut a smartwatch processor for Android devices, which would help in their functions and features soon if it continues.
