In a rare move, the Pokémon Company has announced a Pokémon Presents livestream for this Wednesday, Aug. 3. The event will kick off bright and early at 6: A.M. PT and 9:00 A.M. ET on the official Pokémon YouTube channel and will feature several announcements on various games and applications, the most prominent among them being details on Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

According to Serebii, the event will last only around 20 minutes. It's unclear exactly what other info may be announced during the livestream, potentially showcasing Pokemon GO and Pokemon Unite information. But the hype is ever-focused on the ninth generation of Pokémon titles, which has been swirling in an all-time high of rumors on what fans may expect in these latest entries, which are earmarked for a Nov. 18 release date.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet were initially announced back in Feb. of this year, on the heels of the release of Pokémon Legends Arceus. In its first announcement, the Pokémon company debuted the game's three main starters of Quaxly, Fuecoco, and Sprigatito. In June, the firm allotted even more information for fans, highlighting the highly anticipated feature of 4-player cooperative play and several additional Pokémon, the main among them being the internet-beloved Lechonk. Additionally, the ninth generation of games also had their official legendaries announced, Koraidon and Miraidon, both of which seem to evoke an overarching theme for the Scarlet and Violet games as representative of the past and the future respectively.

In the time since both info dumps, fans have been running amuck across social media with theories, rumors, and extreme anticipation. Several of the forthcoming games' major leaks have been dropped by a figure known on Twitter as Riddler Khu, who sports the Team Rocket logo as a profile picture. The leaker typically reveals inside information on Pokémon Scarlet and Violet in the form of riddles, making the acquisition of information all the more enjoyable for fans.

Other such leaks that have surfaced since the game's announcement include a compilation of blurry shots supposedly of in-game battle mechanics, new Pokémon, and much more. These have originated from a source known solely as "Mr. K," a now-deleted Twitter profile that many believe was a QA tester on the upcoming ninth gen games. It's unclear how accurate these leaks were, showcasing even the new battle gimmick that will purportedly leverage crystallization.

While nothing has been officially confirmed, several well-known leakers have backed these up, the main among them being Riddler Khu and even Uncle Riddler, a Pokémon leaker who has been in the game since the debut of Pokemon Sun And Moon. Fortunately, fans won't have to wait too long to discover additional details on Pokémon Scarlet and Violet as the Presents live stream is only two days away.
