In previous titles, the close relationship between Bayonetta, the main character (titular witch) in the game, and Jeane (another witch) intrigues fans.

Some of them even ship these two female characters because of their bondage. Bayonetta and Jeanne form a great team.

They also spend most of their time together. There's even one scenario when Bayonetta travels to the world's ends in order to save Jeanne after she was abducted into the underworld.

However, the leaked ending of "Bayonetta 3" revealed that these two female characters are not in a romantic relationship.

Instead, Bayonneta ended up in a heterosexual relationship with a male character. Because of this, gamers described the title's plot twist as a "character assassination."

Although the game didn't confirm if Bayonetta is a straight woman or not, many fans were still disappointed with the ending.
