Tesla CEO Elon Musk speaks during the official opening of the new Tesla electric car manufacturing plant on March 22, 2022 near Gruenheide, Germany. The new plant, officially called the Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg, is producing the Model Y as well as electric car batteries.
However, Elon Musk debunked rumors about these electric cars.
Sources stated that two individuals who are familiar with the automaker's works shared that the company is considering exporting EVs manufactured in the Asian country.
These anonymous people talked to Reuters, saying that the carmaker has been studying if EV parts provided by China-based suppliers can comply with North American local regulations.
But, the billionaire put an end to these rumors by replying to Reuters' report on Twitter.
Chinese-Made Tesla EV Exports Not True
On Friday, Nov. 11, Reuters posted its official article on Twitter. The tweet quickly got the attention of Elon Musk.

"False," replied the billionaire.
We need the ability to report a tweet for false information (possibly with the addition of a link to the source with the refuting info). This will help rank the account and ultimately should affect its visibility (frequency of impressions) to other Twitter users.

The Tesla CEO's comment already generated more than 240,000 likes, 1,400 quote tweets, and 12,000 retweets.
Of course, many Twitter users also commented on Musk's tweet. One of them said that Twitter should have features that can efficiently prevent false posts.
The user added that this would help rank accounts and affect their visibility on the social media platform.
Musk actively replied to this tweet, saying they are already making efforts to make it happen.
"When @CommunityNotes rolls out worldwide, it will have a powerful impact on falsehoods," explained the tech CEO.

This just shows that Elon is really rejecting the Chinese-made Tesla EV export rumors.
Why Rumors Appeared
Teslarati provided the possible reason why rumors about made-in-China Tesla EV exports started appearing.
These speculations arose because the demand in China was getting slower while the production in the country continued to rise.
As the trend continues, Tesla will have a hard time since it needs to find solutions on how to sell Chinese-made EVs.
Rumors claimed that exporting the Chinese-made Telsa EVs to Canada and the U.S. is the automaker's solution to solve this issue.
In other stories, Tesla's insurance incentives were enhanced to deal with China's competition.
