Battle.net is reportedly having significantly slow download speeds that impede the latest game's availability for gamers who are now able to access it, with Activision Blizzard's latest drop.

"Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0" recently dropped today, and it is now available to Xbox and PlayStation consoles, as well as its dedicated Battle.net, and the Steam platform.

However, there is a significant problem with downloading the game, and according to PCGames, there is an issue with its speeds.

Here's how to speed up the issue on Activision Blizzard's platform:

  • Head for the Settings feature
  • Look for Game Install/Update option
  • Change the Network Bandwidth to zero

This will fix the issue of one's downloads slowing down, having no caps on its download speeds.

Alternative Platforms to Battle.net for 'Warzone 2.0'

If one wants a hassle-free and alternative platform where they can still download and play the latest "COD: Warzone 2.0," then they may opt to access the game via the Steam platform.

Steam offers the game's access via its client where they can download it with ease, and no slowing down, depending on their network connection and internet subscription.

Activision Blizzard and Battle.net

Activision Blizzard has a dedicated digital game distribution platform and social networking service called Battle.net, and it is responsible for the current operations and accounts management for its latest games. One of the famous titles to run on Battle.net is "Overwatch 2," and it was recently controversial as it required phone numbers to verify a person's identity.

However, there were some complaints regarding this verification from the public, as some users are from the adolescent to teenage age groups and do not have phone numbers for this service.

Nevertheless, Activision Blizzard changed its policies regarding this and allowed people to use their old Battle. net-connected accounts on the original "Overwatch" to avoid this new verification.

Additionally, this is something that was also required with people wanting to play the company's latest release, the famed remake, now available for modern gaming consoles, "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2."

Now, there seems to be another issue with Battle.net, and it centers on the game's download speeds from the company's platform, which may be a significant problem in accessing its latest release. There is a hack to this problem, but there are also alternatives for those who wish to get the game faster, without needing to do anything for their Battle.net platforms.
