Android 13 for Android TV is now out of its beta phase and is now available to more users.

Google finally updated its TV operating system after a while. The latest software release offers a couple of improvements, as well as new accessibility features.

As per the latest news story by XDA Developers, Android TV has stuck with Android 12 for several months. So its users were not getting any new features or massive improvements in recent times.

But this time, the search engine giant has begun rolling out the latest update for Android TV.

Unlike the Android 13 update for smartphones, which is widely used by various phone makers, the new Android TV software only brings under-the-hood changes.

So if you are looking forward to a user interface revamp, you are out of luck this time.

It is worth noting that the Android TV 13 has been out in beta for several months now. But it was only available to developers - until now. It has concluded its testing phase and is ready to reach millions of Android TV users.

According to the recent report by Android Police, the latest software release focuses primarily on welcome performance improvements and handy accessibility options.

The online news outlet notes that the new update essentially provides a more user-friendly experience for its users. Not to mention that the latest update also makes it more inclusive.

To be more precise, the new update now offers its users an option to change the default refresh rate and resolution.

With that, they could set it to their preferred setting or what works best with their television. It should provide viewers with a more seamless watching session right off the bat.

Besides the new option, the update also helps in conserving power. It now enables dongles or TV devices to pause content and save energy based on HDMI state changes.

For accessibility updates, Android 13 finally supports various keyboard layouts. This option should be best used by developers to base their keyboard design on their desired layout.

On top of that, the Accessibility Manager brings new audio descriptions API. And with this, it essentially helps devs to provide audio descriptions depending on the preferences of their users.
