Bloomberg reporter and renowned leaker, Jason Schreier, confirmed that there will be an upcoming remake of the 1998 game from the original PlayStation, "Final Fantasy Tactics."

The game is one of the most famous in the series despite not being part of its main storyline, offering a tactical role-playing game (RPG) experience to the world.

Square Enix did not release any statements regarding the remake of this title yet, but there are expectations for its official launch to the public.

The tactical experience was one of the highlights of "Final Fantasy Tactics" when it was first released to the world, incorporating the elements and gameplay present in the main series.

The remake would most likely capture the soul and essence of this top-rated game from Square Enix, adapting it for a present-generation release for modern gamers to enjoy in their advanced machines like the PlayStation 4 and 5, as well as the PC platforms, and Nintendo Switch.

It is unknown which platforms would receive the "FFT" game, should it release.

Square Enix and the 'Final Fantasy' Franchise

The world of "Final Fantasy" has never been more massive, as one of the longest-running franchises in the game is expanding its lineup to the public, with different games available from its library. Not only that, but it also centers on delivering old games back to modern consoles, to play in a high-quality format, with the previous experiences returning.

There are two pending games from Square Enix for a remaster, and it includes "Final Fantasy VII" and the upcoming main franchise sequel "Final Fantasy XVI."

It is known that the "FF VII" already gets a new name for the remake sequel, which Square dubs "Rebirth," which points to the game's story and offers.

Massive expectations are looming over Square Enix for their development of the "Final Fantasy" titles, which is known for its massive cult following and fans throughout the years. This time, there is another famous game coming to the world to arrive on modern consoles despite its release more than 20 years ago, with "Final Fantasy Tactics" coming soon.
