Nintendo and Game Freak have a lot in store for the upcoming expansion of its famed RPG title, "Pokemon Scarlet & Violet," which they announced the recent Pokemon Day last Monday (Feb. 27). Apart from the new location to arrive in the game, the DLC also offers new Pokemon to watch out for, arriving for trainers to catch, train, and battle within the game.

This will all be a part of "Scarlet & Violet's" upcoming "The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero" expansion that aims to bring the latest content and development Nintendo offers.

'Pokemon Scarlet & Violet' DLC Features New Pokemon

Expect two upcoming downloadable content that would release for "Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's" The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero expansion, which will soon be available to gamers.

First would be "The Teal Mask," which is scheduled to release by Fall 2023, and "The Indigo Disk," which will arrive by Winter 2023.

Part of these DLCs would be the latest content and creatures to arrive in the game, corresponding to the DLC that gamers would avail of.

New Pokemon Arriving Soon on DLCs

  • Ogerpon - Legendary Pokemon based on Japan's Momotaro Folklore, to arrive on The Teal Mask DLC.
  • Terapagos - Coming on the Indigo Disk DLC, part of the terastallization phenomenon in the series.

Pokemon Day Announcements Revealed

The two-part expansion under The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero features the Teal Mask and the Indigo Disk DLCs with separate releases and content available to gamers. It is coming soon for the Nintendo Switch's "Scarlet & Violet," but Game Freak and Pokemon did not yet reveal its price.

The Teal Mask DLC would center on the land of Kitakami, while The Indigo Disk would take place in the Blueberry Academy.

Pokemon Experiences from Nintendo

When "Pokemon Scarlet & Violet" was released, it faced mixed reactions from gamers as some enjoyed the game, and some people felt like it was not the AAA-rated game Nintendo promised them. This led to a significant return or refund to its customers who paid for it, especially when citing issues present in the latest release.

Despite the significant backlash from gamers brought to Nintendo amidst its release window, the company reported that it sold as much as 10 million copies globally within several weeks.

Gamers who continued with the game made do with what Nintendo and Game Freak have to offer, being so that this is the latest there is to the series.

It was argued that "Pokemon Legends: Arceus" is far better compared to "Scarlet & Violet," and people enjoyed more of this experience, also available last year. 2022.

Now, Nintendo and Game Freak want to treat current gamers to new content and experiences in "Pokemon Scarlet & Violet," particularly with its latest expansion DLC.
