'Pokémon Violet and Scarlet' garnered 10 million sales in its first three days. It is despite the technical issues that hounded its release, which reportedly led Nintendo to giveaway rare refunds.

The new Nintendo Switch gaming title debuted last November 18, and it looks like it has become a hit since then, at least in terms of the copies sold.

'Pokémon Violet and Scarlet' Now Boasts More Than 10 Million Sales in its First Three Days

As per the latest report by Nintendo Life, the "Pokémon Scarlet and Violet" received an overwhelming number of sales in its first three days since it debuted last Nov. 18.

However, it is worth noting that the new Switch game has been hounded with numerous complaints regarding its serious technical issues. Its players could not help but criticize the wonkiness of the new Pokèmon title.

But despite that, it seems that the new Nintendo offering still became a global hit. Since its release, "Scarlet and Violet" has already achieved a staggering 10 million sales.

So it appears that the technical mess did not hamper the sales performance of the new Pokémon offering.

New Nintendo Sales Record

Nintendo Life notes in its report that overwhelming sales of the "Scarlet and Violet" for Switch are a monumental achievement for the renowned gaming giant.

It is worth noting that the new role-playing game ended up as the highest-selling title, at least in the first three days.

According to a news story by Euro Gamer, the achievement of "Violet and Scarlet" easily tramples the "Pokémon Legends: Arceus." The news outlet highlights that the latter is the second fastest-selling Nintendo Switch title in Japan.

So it turns out it is second to none in terms of sales numbers as early as the first three days since its release.

Euro Gamer also noted that the new Nintendo game beats the "fastest-selling PlayStation gaming title, the "God of War Ragnarok." The console game garnered roughly 5.1 million sales in the first week since it debuted.

To put it in perspective, it is over half of what "Violet and Scarlet" achieved in less than a week.

As mentioned, the impressive sales of the new Pokémon game come even as it has some technical issues at hand.

Despite the technical issues, ‘Pokémon Violet and Scarlet’ is apparently selling faster than any other Nintendo game.

The technical problems of the game title had some players asking the renowned tech giant for a refund. And some users disclosed that they got their money back.

So it looks like Nintendo gave away refunds after some players were disappointed by its janky release.
