A tech analyst now predicts that the iPhone maker is planning to make some drastic changes in the pricing of its upcoming high-end flagship lineup. Its buyers might have to spend more to get their hands on it.

Apple iPhone 15 Pro Price Increase

According to Mac Rumors, analyst Jeff Pu claims that Apple is looking to increase the cost of its iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

The tech analyst from the Haitong International Securities in Hong Kong corroborates early rumors saying that the iPhone 15 models are likely to be a bit more expensive than its predecessors.

Mac Rumors notes in its report that the last time that Apple increased the pricing of its Pro variant iPhone was when it introduced the iPhone X last 2017.

Since then, the Pro option started at only $999. Given that, the iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro got the same pricing.

Meanwhile, the iPhone Pro Max has sustained its $1,099 price tag in the US since the iPhone XS Max arrived.

If the tech analyst is to be believed, it looks like the iPhone 15 Pro models are set to break the pricing streak of Apple this year.

But this time, Pu predicts that Apple is set to move forward with the price increase for its higher-end iPhone models.

The analyst points out that the hardware upgrades of the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro models are likely forcing the price hike.

Although Apple consistently brought a few upgrades in its previous offerings, the next-generation phone is likely getting several improvements. The higher-end iPhone set to debut this year is rumored to gain increased RAM, a new periscope lens, and extra Taptic Engines.
