Naughty Dog released its most anticipated game for the computer platform, "The Last of Us Part 1" PC, which immediately saw mods from a known creator, featuring the HBO live-action series. It centers on the male lead of the game, Joel, with Pedro Pascal's look integrated into his in-game counterpart, based on the show.

"The Last of Us's" live-action series saw a significant amount of fame among fans and gamers, with Pascal's Joel being a fan favorite, with this mod being a sensible creation, as expected.

You may have already played "The Last of Us Part 1" before getting it on the PC, and with the massive backlash against Naughty Dog's buggy PC version, this may only be to re-experience the game on a different platform.

Still, in this version of the game, mods are possible and easier to install, with a user named Speclizer sharing his latest creation of integrating Pedro Pascal's HBO series Joel into the game.

The screenshot shows several distinctions between Pascal to the in-game character, with his slightly chinky eyes, iconic mustache, and beard, as captured on the live-action show.

It is only a matter of time before creators make mods for the recently released "The Last of Us Part 1" on the PC, as it is one of the best platforms to install it, as evidenced by the previous releases of "Marvel's Spider-Man" which also saw multiple mods for the webhead.

Speclizer invites the public to check out the mod on Patreon, and the details behind it, which he claims to be a collaboration with Alphastudios.

ComicBook Gaming reported that this may not yet be available on the Patreon landing site, and it is behind a paywall to preview the mod and know more information about it.

'The Last of Us' Franchise and Naughty Dog

In what was supposedly a game that would be average in terms of Naughty Dog's expectations, "The Last of Us" grew to become a renowned franchise since its release in 2013, with global fame in the past years. Gamers grew fond of the action survival game, with a compelling dramatic story that centers on Ellie and Joel, who found a way to live through it all.

The franchise's success in pop culture led to the delivery of its sequel, "The Last of Us Part 2," which was released seven years later, in June 2020 after facing significant delays.

Its massive fame in the industry led to the development of a live-action television series with HBO, with Naughty Dog also helping out with its on-screen adaptation, featuring stars like Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, and more.

The famous live-action adaptation of "The Last of Us" already wrapped up and gave the world its final episode, but Pascal's Joel became an iconic character to watch, with gamers also wanting him to appear in the game. Their wishes have been answered by Specializer, but it seems to be still under development and gamers would have to pay for it soon to get this new mod.
