Sling TV has finally arrived on Amazon Echo Show 8 and Echo Show 10 devices, nearly two years after Amazon pledged to bring the app to all Echo Show devices, The Verge reports.
Users can now stream live TV and on-demand content directly from their Echo Show devices using the newly added Sling TV app.
Access a Slew of Live Channels with Sling TV
Sling TV offers a variety of live channels, depending on the subscription plan, including Fox, TBS, ESPN, AMC, Discovery, NBA TV, and others.
There is also Sling Freestream, a free ad-supported streaming option. Thanks to the new Sling TV app, users can easily access these channels from their Echo Show 8 and Echo Show 10.
In case you missed it, Sling TV launched its new free ad-supported streaming service, Sling Freestream, in early February. The service is available on all Roku devices and will soon be available on Comcast, LG, Samsung, Vizio, and Xbox devices.
Although Amazon brought Sling TV to the Echo Show 15 last year, it was not available on the company's other devices until now.
The Verge notes that unlike the Echo Show 15, the Echo Show 8 and 10 do not include the new Fire TV interface. This limits users' access to streaming apps like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video.
Watch Sling on Echo Show Devices
Here's a quick step-by-step guide.
Users must say, "Alexa, open Sling TV," and then log in to their Sling TV account to access the Sling TV app on the Echo Show.
Once logged in, users can navigate to specific channels with voice commands like "Alexa, watch Fox on Sling" and control playback with commands like "Alexa, pause" or "Alexa, fast-forward."

On Echo Show devices, users can download the Sling TV app by saying "Alexa, go to Settings," selecting "TV & Video" under the "Alexa Preferences" section, and then selecting Sling TV from the list of available providers.
Sling TV, in addition to live TV channels, provides up to 150,000 on-demand movies, TV shows, and other content. After logging in for the first time, users can access any channel directly from the Echo Show home screen using voice commands such as "Alexa, watch AMC" or "Alexa, tune to ESPN."
