CAPCOM is giving its fans and enthusiasts a treat in the upcoming release of "Street Fighter 6," but before the game arrives, the developers are looking to bring an open beta for the public to experience it ahead. The upcoming open beta will bring in a total of eight characters to access, and it brings the classic names for gamers to hash out on the arenas.

Apart from the eight characters, Street Fighter's open beta of the new game also allows gamers to experience the modes available to access once it releases next month for the full game.

'Street Fighter 6' Open Beta is Coming This Thursday

From May 19 to 21, gamers will have a chance to participate in the open beta offered by Capcom for Street Fighter 6, featuring all the dynamics and experiences that players would experience once it drops.

The game is coming by June 2 on different platforms like the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series S and X, Xbox One, and PC via Steam, but an earlier open beta will test how it bodes with the global community.

Capcom's Street Fighter tweeted a recent teaser that invites gamers to the beta and offers eight characters to access in this free-to-play experience. Alongside this, the open beta will be featuring various online game modes for players to access, giving a glimpse of what the new game will bring to gamers once it drops by June 2.

Capcom's 'Street Fighter' Franchise

Fans have been speculating about the arrival of "Street Fighter 6" since before the pandemic as the game's last drop was with "Street Fighter V" which was released in 2016. It has been seven years of wait for gamers to get the sequel title, one that would expand more of its lore and give definitive answers to the game's plot, centering on Ryu and others.

In 2022, Capcom finally unveiled the first teaser for Street Fighter 6, and it ushered in a new design for its logo which left gamers unimpressed with what they tried to debut for this game. Instead of the usual 80s pop colors and striking font, Capcom went plain and basic with the design, which is significantly different compared to the past games.

Still, this does not change the dynamics of the popular action-arcade fighting game which is one of the pioneers of this genre, featuring the iconic characters of the series. Street Fighter 6 is coming in early June, but Capcom is offering everyone a chance to try the new open beta coming this week, before the nonstop action which the full game brings.
