A new development over at Meta is looking to license one of the most famous AR companies in the world, Magic Leap, with both companies forming a coalition towards creating different experiences with wearables. The reports claim that Meta is interested in Magic Leap's proprietary tech, which centers on augmented reality and incorporates the real world with virtual technology. 

This is also amidst the massive reports in the industry regarding Apple's AR/VR headset that is said to be released soon this WWDC 2023. 

Meta Wants to License Magic Leap's AR Technology

Meta is reportedly in discussions with Magic Leap, a leading augmented reality (AR) company, to license its AR technology and obtain the license to its intellectual property (IP) and manufacturing process. First reported by the Financial Times, the move comes as Meta aims to expand its VR technology, specifically its popular Oculus devices, now rebranded as Meta VR.

According to industry reports, Meta and Magic Leap are currently engaged in early talks regarding a potential partnership.
