Gamers have massive complaints about "Diablo IV" and other Blizzard Entertainment games as it was initially revealed by its customer service team that it was down early Sunday and later confirmed a DDoS attack. This was one of the significant outages in Blizzard's case, especially as it went on for long hours and gamers were robbed of the last weekend day to play their favorite games.

Blizzard's customer service team via Twitter made its initial issues immediately known to the public, first announcing that a login issue was plaguing its different games, including Diablo IV, as early as 1:53 AM Sunday.

However, gamers did not expect that this issue is going to be massive and would be affecting their entire Sunday, as the reports continued to bear bad news in its next updates. Eight hours later the confirmation, there were still no exact reasons from the team.

As of 10:24 AM ET, Blizzard confirmed that this issue was a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack which they claim to be affecting the latency and access to its games.

It was not until 1 PM that the company confirmed that it already ended, and allowed gamers to log in again. Still, that was not the end of it.

Several hours later, another tweet came from Blizzard and confirmed an ongoing DDoS attack again.

Is Blizzard's DDoS Outage Already Fixed?

Blizzard Entertainment faced either two DDoS attacks earlier this Sunday, or the company did not fully resolve the earlier one and experienced yet again another outage on its services.

The good thing is that as much as 30 minutes later, the company claimed that users may try logging in again as it already ended.

Gamers claimed that they lost as much as 10 to 12 hours of gaming time via Reddit, with some for either shorter or longer wait times for Diablo IV to resume normal operations.

Recent DDoS Attacks

Microsoft had an outage for its Outlook and OneDrive apps, but it was only later revealed that there was indeed a DDoS attack.

No industry is safe from a DDoS attack, and it was earlier revealed that the financial sector is seeing the case grow, with a 22 percent rise year-over-year as of November last year. A report from the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC) claims that these DDoS attacks may be a precursor to a bigger problem like malware, espionage, and more.

The rising cases of DDoS attacks are alarming, with the most recent one centering on Blizzard Entertainment's services, including many of its games and Battle.net. Fortunately, after several hours, the customer service team has announced that it already fixed the problem and asks users to try logging in to their services or games, including the latest Diablo IV.
