Drag-racing website Drag Times had fun with the most super-charged version of Tesla's Model S electric car, and has uploaded a video that documented every shocked reaction.

Drag Times took several people out for rides on the P85D version of the Tesla Model S, which is the dual-motor, high-performance version of the vehicle. One of the improvements to the vehicle is on its acceleration.

While the original Tesla Model S already had decent acceleration of going from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 5.9 seconds, the P85D version of the vehicle takes performance up a notch with its capability to pump out 691 horsepower. The super-charged electric vehicle takes only 3.2 seconds to go to 60 miles per hour from a standstill, a figure that is comparable with the times posted by the fastest sports cars in the world from renowned automobile manufacturers Ferrari and Lamborghini. The time, in fact, even challenges that of the McLaren Formula One racing car.

Drag Times, which has done tests on the acceleration and top speeds of several of the world's fastest cars, produced a compilation video of the reactions of the people that its drivers gave a ride to on the P85D version of the Tesla Model S.

The videos show how the passengers freak out after the driver presses the "Insane Mode" button, which is a real button on the digital console of the electric vehicle.

Drivers can go into Insane Mode by placing the vehicle in a completely stopped state, and then pressing the button on the car's digital console. Once the driver presses the button, the Tesla Model S is launched into quickly accelerating to up to 70 miles per hour in only a few seconds.

The ridiculous acceleration of the Tesla Model S to that speed is almost instant due to the fact that it is an electric vehicle, as compared to traditional vehicles that build up speed over a few seconds.

Most of the passengers are unsurprisingly shocked by the burst of speed, with the last woman in the video saying, "I can do that every day. I need this every single day."

The Tesla Model S P85D, in a quarter-mile drag race against the 2015 Dodge 6.2-liter 707-horsepower Hemi V8 Challenger Hellcat muscle car, steamrolled its competition. The race was not even close.

Along the way, it set a new world record as the fastest production electric vehicle in the world.
