There are good news and bad news for the upcoming iPhone 15 from the Cupertino giant. To start, if you are expecting double the maximum storage from the last edition of the smartphone, prepare to be disappointed as Apple is reportedly only planning to bring the same 1TB option from last year, and no 2TB is coming this year.

However, for those looking for a better-performing smartphone with more capabilities than before, then this is for you as the company is giving future owners of the iPhone 15 with more RAM-as more memory means a significant upgrade for the flagship.

Two sources have claimed that the iPhone 15 Pro line would be coming with the same storage options as last year's release, with the device only centering on 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.

TrendForce claimed that this would be the same offers from Apple this year, and no other options would be available soon.

It was the same thing which MacRumors also chipped in on this topic, citing their sources, that the upcoming iPhone 15 lineup would have the same storage options in this release.

Still, it remains unknown when Apple would offer 2TB iPhone storage for the public, but it is highly expected by the public from Apple, as the trend has it that it doubles storage options per year.

Apple Improves iPhone 15 RAM

The iPhone 14 Pro series from last year offered as much as 6GB RAM for the public, which is the same as the smartphone that came before it.

However, in TrendForce's claims, it would be bumped to as much as 8GB RAM in this year's release. On the other hand, MacRumors claimed that Apple tested both 6GB and 8GB RAM for the iPhone 15, and it would depend on the storage a person would buy on how much RAM their device would get.

Apple's iPhone 15

Many speculators and insiders have already been on Apple's neck since last year for the iPhone 15 series, as it is expected to be the smartphone that will bring new iconic designs and technology in this release. One of the most recurring reports behind the iPhone 15's upgrade is its screen, centering on a larger one but not necessarily changing the body's size thanks to smaller bezels

Apple is also speculated to change the 16-year-old design of the iPhone, where it has the mute slider on the side, as it would move forward with a dedicated action button. This design is leaked to be coming with the iPhone 15 Pro series, as discovered by data miners on the iOS 17's beta code, which one is already familiar with from the Apple Watch series.

The iPhone 15 is expected to bring a lot of wonders for the public, including its iconic switch to the universal data and charging port, the USB-C, in adherence to the EU's mandate and public demand. More are coming for the iPhone 15, but some things will not change, like the 1TB Storage option that would be the most it has to offer, but with an upgraded memory.
