According to a report by CNBC, Microsoft's 2022 emails among executives predicted that its growth would stem from its advertising and mobile purchases over the next years. In earlier documents, it was revealed that Microsoft expects to earn as much as $500 billion in total revenue by the 2030 fiscal year, with more to offer the world soon.

In 2016, Activision Blizzard acquired King Digital Entertainment, the company best known for developing the Candy Crush franchise. From this alone, Activision Blizzard gained as much as $2.79 billion in revenue in 2022, thanks to in-app purchases and ads.

Should the merger continue, this is believed to be a game changer for Microsoft and Xbox, with Activision Blizzard also contributing to its future gaming growth.

Xbox's Phil Spencer Clarifies Gaming's Future

In a recent tweet by Xbox Chief Phil Spencer earlier today, many leaks about Microsoft and Xbox's plans were unveiled, but this is not what defines the company in the present.

Spencer claimed that many things have already changed from these emails and exchanges, which may not entirely be accurate to its plans, something the company would share when they are ready.

Microsoft and Activision Blizzard Merger

The Microsoft and Activision Blizzard merger is still on the line, and a federal judge is set to rule on the case in the future when both sides, including the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC), have presented their claims. It is true that this acquisition already took a long time, with many antitrust cases thrown against the tech company's way, especially with its $69 billion deal.

Because of this massive probe regarding antitrust, Microsoft and Activision Blizzard submitted court documents containing significant information on its competitors' many plans, both games and hardware. One of the games that were leaked was a planned 'Superman' title that was being developed by Sony and PlayStation but is believed to be a typo for Spider-Man

Microsoft and Xbox were also a source for the leak regarding the PlayStation Portal and the Nintendo Switch 2, both known to be handheld and portable gaming consoles.

However, in the recent leaks, Microsoft's plans were unveiled to the public, with Xbox's Phil Spencer clarifying this online, but still sees new information to its growth by 2030.
