The Tesla Cybertruck has been making waves in the electric vehicle (EV) industry since Elon Musk teased its impending launch. With its futuristic design and stainless steel body, the Cybertruck is hard to miss. However, lately, Tesla has been experimenting with an unexpected twist: wraps and camouflage.

Colorful Camouflage: New Tesla Cybertruck Trend?

Tesla has traditionally steered clear of wraps and camouflage for its prototype vehicles. Yet, the Cybertruck seems to be an exception. Notably, it has appeared in various wraps recently, showcasing a wide array of designs.

According to Electrek, the most recent sighting of a Tesla Cybertruck revealed a striking departure from its signature stainless steel look. Wrapped in vibrant colors, this Cybertruck certainly caught the eye.

With the Cybertruck being famously unpaintable due to its stainless steel exterior, wraps are emerging as the sole option to give it a unique appearance.

Factory Wraps or Third-Party Solutions?

The big question on everyone's mind is whether Tesla plans to offer factory wraps for the Cybertruck. Alternatively, will they leave it to third-party companies to cater to this growing demand? While speculation abounds, no official confirmation has been provided.

Some suggest that Tesla's recent experiments with wraps might not be attempts at camouflage but rather a means of testing different designs and materials. This theory gains weight from the numerous sightings of uncovered and uncamouflaged Cybertrucks in the wild.

As we eagerly await the official launch of the Cybertruck, the question of factory wraps remains unanswered. The automaker might offer customization features for the EV pickup truck.

Another Sighting of Tesla Cybertrucks

In another story by Inside EVs, two Cybertrucks were spotted at a Northern California off-road park. According to MuddyRuttz on YouTube, he saw two vehicles that could likely be a Cybertruck release candidate at the Hollister Hills State Vehicular Recreation Area.

Based on the video, the air suspension of the vehicles on cam is set in the highest setting. The footage also reveals that there are Tesla engineers who have been doing off-road testing for the pickup truck.

What's more, Cybertruck orders are expected to be delivered next month. If the report is accurate, then we could potentially see them coming in October. After four years of waiting, this could be the opportunity for the viewers to finally witness the debut of the Cybertruck.

Meanwhile, Tech Times reports that Tesla has relaunched its referral program focused on offering free cars. The said program went on hiatus after its return in November 2022.

Moreover, the EV maker says that it's helpful for those who want to earn reward points. The biggest prize that the lucky winner can receive is the new Model 3 Performance—in exchange for 1,000 credits.
