Telegram, a leading messaging platform, has announced a significant development in its ecosystem by introducing Mini Apps. This feature allows third-party developers to create highly flexible interfaces using JavaScript.

This move is poised to transform Telegram into a multifaceted super app, enabling a wide array of applications, from games to restaurant services, to interact with users seamlessly.

Telegram's vision is clear: "Developers can use JavaScript to create infinitely flexible interfaces that can be launched right inside Telegram - and can completely replace any website."

To realize this ambitious project, Telegram has collaborated with a network of infrastructure partners, including the independent organization The Open Network (TON) Foundation, which plays a pivotal role in establishing the blockchain foundation for Telegram.

Telegram Mini Apps

Telegram's official statement emphasized the revolutionary potential of Mini Apps. By leveraging JavaScript, developers can craft interfaces directly within the Telegram platform, eliminating the need for external websites.

These Mini Apps are designed to operate seamlessly, supporting features such as seamless authorization, integrated payments through a diverse range of 20 payment providers, and personalized push notifications, among others.

"Like bots, Mini Apps support seamless authorization, integrated payments via 20 payment providers (with Google Pay and Apple Pay out of the box), delivering tailored push notifications to users, and much more," Telegram said in an announcement.

Telegram Stories

In related news, Telegram has commemorated its 10-year journey since its inception in 2013 with a significant announcement.

Initially available exclusively to premium subscribers, Telegram Stories is now accessible to all users, marking a major shift in the platform's accessibility and inclusivity. This feature allows users to share their daily experiences without any subscription requirements.

Telegram has also introduced a suite of customization options and settings unique to its platform, allowing users to tailor their Stories experience.

While traditional Stories typically have a 24-hour lifespan, Telegram users have the freedom to adjust this duration, set granular privacy controls, and even utilize a dual-camera mode for added versatility.

This milestone aligns with Telegram's ongoing commitment to enhancing user experiences. Originally a premium feature, the decision to democratize Telegram Stories reflects the platform's dedication to making innovative features accessible to a broader audience.

Additionally, the update introduces Detailed View Statistics, empowering users with comprehensive insights, along with an edit button that facilitates post-upload alterations to Stories.
