The latest update from Player Unknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) is here, but one of the most noticeable new content here is its collaboration with KFC, and yes, this is the famed fried chicken restaurant chain in the world. Considering that PUBG's renowned tagline for the top player or individual in its battle royale is "Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner," its new collab may expand more of the experience.

PUBG recently released the patch notes to the game's Update 26.1, ushering in a new collaboration with the fried chicken experts, KFC, coming to the game. The developers detail what is to come in the game, with this update rolling out to PC by October 11, 12 AM to 8:30 AM (UTC), and to consoles by October 19, 1 AM to 10 AM (UTC).

The KFC collaboration would bring the famed chain restaurants of the company to the game, particularly in the Erangel map, where all gas stations would be replaced by fried chicken stores.

According to PUBG, the game would bring back several missed items and gears, with additional improvements also coming in mid-October.

What to Expect from PUBG and KFC?

Erangel's gas stations will transform into KFC restaurants, offering an interactive experience where users get to order their favorite items from its menu using the Interaction Keys. A user's nickname would appear on the order number display board above the counter, and users may only use this kiosk once per store.

However, as the game enters Phase 4, players may go another time to place their orders.

Players may get three items from their orders, including the KFC Chicken Bucket which is like the First Aid Kit that restores up to 75 percent of the HP, with the player eating its chicken.

Next, there is the KFC Secret Recipe Fries that functions like the Bandages that restore a small portion of health. And lastly, there is the KFC Drink which acts like PUBG's Energy Drink.

PUBG and KFC's collaboration will only showcase the stores and items for one month.

PUBG and its Battle Royale

Player Unknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) is one of the earliest to popularize the battle royale shooter games in the world, pooling up 100 players in a single match, with its core centering on a winner-takes-all setup. In its heyday, PUBG could rake up millions for its company, with the game also speculated to have a sequel coming soon.

Apart from the PC and console gaming experience of PUBG, Krafton also released a version for smartphones, popularly known as PUBG Mobile, and it became a sensation in Asia. The game also saw significant collaborations before, partnering with the likes of the global sensation, South Korea's BLACKPINK, which had their songs and special content arrive in the game.

PUBG's Update 26.1 is coming this mid-October, and while gas stations are now KFC restaurants spread out across Erangel, other special features, perks, and items in the game return in this update.
