Ring, the renowned home security company smart doorbells, has launched an interesting competition that could make this month truly out of this world.

Aptly named the "Million Dollar Search for Extraterrestrials," this challenge calls on all Ring doorbell users to capture "unaltered scientific evidence of a real extraterrestrial lifeform" using their Ring devices. And what's at stake? A jaw-dropping grand prize of a staggering US$1 million.

Ring Wants You to Capture ET-Inspired Shot Using Doorbell Camera

In a press release, Ring exclaimed, "Ring Mission Control here. Sensors have been picking up signs of unidentified life forms in the Neighborhood Nebula, and we want you to investigate."

Although the possibility of extraterrestrial activity occurring right outside your front door is believable, it is not as far-fetched as one might think.

Ring has pledged that all footage captured by Ring doorbells will undergo meticulous scrutiny by space and extraterrestrial experts to ensure its authenticity. This adds a layer of credibility to the entire competition.

Win $1 Million By Just Alien-Hunting With Ring Camera

Even if you don't manage to spot an alien, Ring encourages you to participate in the fun. They are accepting creative homemade interpretations of alien sightings.

Ring doorbell users are invited to dress up and reenact an extraterrestrial sighting on their security cameras for a chance to win an "Out of this World" prize—an enticing US$500 Amazon gift card, per CNET.

Judging for these homemade extraterrestrial sightings will be based on creativity, humor, and the level of engagement with a Ring device. Furthermore, the company eagerly encourages participants to don alien costumes, create homemade spacecraft, and engage in extraterrestrial-inspired communication with their Ring devices.

Where to Submit Your Alien Footage?

To submit video evidence of extraterrestrial life or homemade alien footage captured on a Ring camera, users can head to ringmilliondollarsighting.com.

The Million Dollar Search for Extraterrestrials commenced on Wednesday, Oct. 4, and will continue to welcome entries until November 3.

The grand prize winner, should they capture undeniable evidence of an alien, will be rewarded with annuity payments of US$50,000 for a span of two decades, not to mention the distinction of successfully capturing extraterrestrial footage.

Can Anyone Join Ring's Alien-Sighting Competition?

It's essential to note that this contest is exclusively open to American residents aged 18 and above who own a Ring doorbell. Unfortunately, Canadian residents who find themselves visited by extraterrestrials will need to explore alternative means of capitalizing on such an extraordinary sighting, per Global News.

As a captivating addition to the Million Dollar Search for Extraterrestrials, Ring has unveiled intergalactic "quick reply" functions for their doorbells. These alien-inspired quick replies offer a cosmic touch to your doorbell interactions, allowing you to greet guests with a space-age twist.

"Earthing, state your business. Your transmission will be beamed to your cosmic colleague momentarily" is one reply that will greet you instantly.
