Last week saw a rundown of massive news and events in the tech world, with one of the most significant news being Telegram's security issue, wherein it exposes users' IP addresses whenever on calls.

There was also the arrival of the top-awaited electric pickup from Tesla, the Cybertruck, which has been almost five years since its introduction in 2019.

Meta has also released an update for WhatsApp that users have been waiting for a long time, and it now allows multiple accounts to be logged in at the same time on a single device.

Telegram Exposes IP Addresses in Calls

A security researcher has claimed that a vulnerability is now present on Telegram, and this security flaw will expose a user's IP address whenever taking a call from a hacker or unknown number or when adding them to your contacts list.

Anyone can message a person once this feature is turned on, and this also means that many people can ask to be your mutual friend and call you to access sensitive information.

An experiment by Denis Simonov, a.k.a. n0a, recently demonstrated how a newly created Telegram account had its IP address discovered via a security flaw.

There were also claims before that Telegram's instant messaging system is not as secure as its rivals in the industry, including the Signal messaging app. The peer-to-peer connection between callers was said to cause this IP address leak.

The Tesla Cybertruck Is Coming

Elon Musk and the Tesla team have recently announced that the Tesla Cybertruck is coming this November 30 for its official global launch.

After five years of waiting for the electric vehicle, it is soon coming out, prioritizing those who have pre-ordered the electric vehicle (EV) from the company and have been on the waitlist for a long time.

Tesla's recent 3rd quarter earnings result has already come out, with the company happily sharing this update on its Investor Relations website.

The company said the Cybertruck production remained on track for later this year, with first deliveries scheduled for November 30 at Giga Texas. It is expected that the Cybertruck would fill in the early birds first before its public availability, with the end of November marking its drop.

WhatsApp Multiple Accounts

Gone are the days when users with multiple WhatsApp accounts needed two smartphones to use them at the same time after Meta recently announced the latest update to the instant messaging app.

Using a single device, users may now add two WhatsApp accounts to be logged in, with the app allowing its users to switch from one number to the other seamlessly.

That means their chats, conversations, contacts, and more will be saved on the device and separated depending on their preferences. Meta's latest push will allow users to get two accounts under one device, moving this feature out of the beta where it was made available earlier.
