Last year, the world saw the refreshed Tesla Model 3, but it was available in selected regions only, particularly in the European and Chinese markets, but this 2024, it will be available for sale back home. The US is getting its first look at the renowned electric car from Tesla, centering on the sleek and updated look of the Model 3, improving on the previous releases of this unit.
It took Tesla several years before this refresh was introduced to the public, with this latest release offering a more cohesive look like its other cars.
Tesla Model 3 Refresh is Now Available for Sale in the US

Tesla announced via X that the "Upgraded" Model 3 is now available for sale in the United States, as well as other parts of North America, with the company showcasing the different features and looks of the electric vehicle. Its video showed the different changes made, mostly on the front fascia of the EV, offering a more sleek look compared to the previous releases.
It was originally previewed in the EU and Chinese regions already when it dropped last year, and according to Ars Technica, customers were able to buy it since October 2023.
Despite the earlier versions of the Model 3 seeing a full EV tax credit deducted on their purchases, this year's release is not eligible for the discount.
What Changed with the Tesla Model 3's Latest Drop?
The Model 3's looks are what mostly changed in this release, with Tesla also saying that there are two new colors available including the Stealth Grey and the Ultra Red.
More impressively, this already comes with an improved range, offering as much as 341 miles of EPA range (estimated).
It comes with the dual motor AWD, improved cabin sound suppression, and revamped interiors that customers may customize.
The Tesla Model 3: Electric Sedan Workhorse
Originally unveiled in 2016, Tesla's Model 3 was the entry-level car in its lineup, and it is also a midsize sedan comparable to the likes of the BMW Series 3. For the longest time, it kept the same looks, but its hardware saw several upgrades, yet in 2023, there were reports regarding a "Project Highland" development that would usher in a new era for the renowned workhorse.
While the new version of the Model 3 was first sold in other regions, one of the most significant developments in the United States is the electric vehicle's eligibility for tax credits. Tesla got the full ride, as it was granted the $7,500 EV tax credit in the US for the Model 3, and this applies not only to the previous-gen version when it arrived, but also to the now available new version.
While it took several months before the Tesla Model 3 to arrive on its home country's shores, it is now available for sale in the US, but the revised EV tax credit is no longer available for it. Model 3's refresh features a subtle revamp to its looks, still sporting the midsize sedan size, but improves on the sleekness of its front fascia, looking like the Model S, with as much as 341 miles of estimated EPA range available for all.
