Nintendo and its eShop

The eShop is not a stranger to sale events, as multiple times a year, Nintendo offers massive discounts where gamers could save on selected titles to enjoy for their Switch experiences.

Moreover, Nintendo is also focusing on its current-gen gaming platforms with the Switch family and is known for closing the doors for Wii U and 3DS users to purchase games via the eShop two years ago.

Despite the abundance of the Switch's physical copy games, buying from Nintendo's eShop for a digital copy is also remarkable for the console's owners as it is cheaper because of the discounts, and is readily available at any time.

After Nintendo's holiday sale, the Japanese company is now offering a year-starter sale that brings AAA-rated exclusives to the spotlight, a rare sale event from the company.
