A new feature for Apple Music may be coming soon, as beta testers already discovered the service known as "SongShift" to be available on the app to easily help with transferring playlists from other apps to the Cupertino platform. Like other third-party services available, this feature will help import playlists from the likes of Spotify, Deezer, Tidal, and more to Apple Music.

While there are third-party services available, this feature under testing is built right on Apple Music's platform, no longer needing users to log in via browsers for the experience.

Reddit users shared a new feature on Apple Music which centers on the SongShift service to be available on the app, offering a way to easily import playlists from other apps to the Cupertino platform in a snap. The Redditor said that this was discovered on Apple Music for Android's beta, particularly in 4.7.0-beta (1359).

However, other users argued that it is not widely available for beta users yet, meaning that this feature might be under A/B testing, a.k.a. split testing, which offers different features for select users.

Nevertheless, it shows the Apple Music app offering an easy-to-use playlist importing feature where users only need to follow the guided steps in taking their information from other apps to the Cupertino music streaming platform.

Transfer Playlists from Spotify, MORE Platforms

Many playlist-transferring services are available online, and these are mostly third-party technologies that would require users to log in to their accounts via the web browser. However, for those who do not want their Apple accounts logged in to third-party apps or services as it is connected to their iCloud, Apple devices, and more, then this new feature under testing might be the perfect one for them.

This feature allows transferring playlists from apps like Spotify and other platforms via SongShift, another third-party service that is now Apple's partner in this experience.

Apple Music and its Features

While the former iTunes turned Apple Music may already be a long-time app for iOS users, the company only began its streaming services in 2015, with its rivals launching earlier. However, this does not mean that Apple Music fell behind, especially with the many top features available, one of the most important being its massive ties to the iOS and other Apple operating systems.

Last year saw various features added to the Apple Music platform, and one of them is the feature known as 'Discovery Station' which offers fresh tunes to listen to, centering on new releases from top artists.

Another top feature within the app is the wide variety of Spatial Audio support, also highlighting music from artists that offer it, centering on a more immersive listening experience for all.

In a bid to compete with the top music streaming platforms in the world, Apple Music established its app as the premier destination for all Apple users to enjoy and easily use as their daily source of entertainment. If you are making the switch or looking to reminisce on music from previous platforms, this new Apple Music SongShift feature is for you, but it is still in beta, and users still have to wait for it.
