Ever wanted to play Destiny on-the-go and away from home? Thanks to an unofficial app available on Google Play, now anyone with an Android device can potentially play the popular game from their mobile phones and tablets.

While an official PS4 Remote Play app has been available already, its use was only limited to some models of Sony Xperia smartphones and tablets. The unofficial app however, will work with most Android devices with the right specs, regardless of manufacturer.

The set-up requires some know-how however, and according to level_with_me, a Reddit user who posted some step-by-step instructions on how to set up the remote play between your PS4 console and android device, the game play can be laggy at times.

On the same post, the Reddit user also says that they have so far only tested the app on a Samsung Galaxy S3.

YouTube user, NightmareTacoGaming has also posted a very thorough and handy video to take you through the process of downloading the APK script by TheScriptKitty to extend the functionality of the official app to include other capable Android devices.

The unofficial app allows gamers to play Destiny from their Android devices either through touch, or with controllers, which will take some extra steps to set up, but are also explained in the video tutorial.

According to the official site of the script, Xperia device users also have additional notes and instructions to follow.

While this is great news for Android users who are fans of Destiny, since the APK is an unofficial Beta script which allows unofficial functionalities, users who dare try it do so at their own risk and should not expect any official support or help should anything go awry.
