With Apple having released the iPhone 6 last year and Samsung set to release the Galaxy S6 in only a few days, there is a plethora of smartphones available to the customer.

Not everyone, however, wants to spend so much money on a smartphone. Lucky for them, we've put together a list of our top 5 sub-$200 smartphones!

1. Motorola Moto G 2 ($179.99)

After Motorola was bought by Google it underwent a rebirth, cleaned the slate and started again. The first phone that it released was the Moto X, which was followed by the Moto G.

The Moto G was largely hailed as the best budget smartphone on the market, and the second generation of the device is no different. With an 8MP rear-facing camera, a Snapdragon 400, and a great design, the Moto G is a steal.

2. Microsoft Lumia 535 ($129 on Amazon)

While some might want to shy away from smartphones that run Windows, for those that are comfortable with the idea or who prefer Windows Phone over Android, then the Lumia 535 is a great choice.

The device uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 along with an Adreno 302 GPU, as well as a 5MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. Because of the high-quality front-facing camera, those who are into selfies will find this device to be perfect.

3. Asus ZenFone 5 ($147 on Amazon)

Asus has been boosting its smartphone business of late, especially in Asian markets. The ZenFone 5 has some interesting specs, including an Intel Atom processor, an 8MP rear-facing camera and 2GB of RAM.

Another main selling point of the device is the fact that it has one of the sharpest displays of the devices on this list, boasting 294 ppi.

4. HTC Desire 610 ($179 on Amazon)

How could there be a list of smartphones without HTC ending up somewhere on that list? While HTC is better known for its flagships like the HTC One, it has a line of cheaper smartphones as well, including the Desire 610.

The device certainly has some great specs for the price, boasting a Snapdragon 400 and HTC BoomSound stereo front-facing speakers and an 8MP rear-facing camera. One of the main selling points of this device, however, is the sleek and stylish design that looks just like any flagship on the market.

5. Moto E 2 ($149)

The Motorola Moto E is one step even more budget than the Mogo G, but that doesn't mean it's not a great device. In fact, it's one of the best devices for the money on the market.

The new device boasts a larger 4.5-inch display, and keeps the well-designed look from last year's model. It also includes a 5MP camera with autofocus, with a VGA front-facing camera.
