The Flash TV show is going on well, but what about the movie? Well, according to the possible directors, Phil Lord and Chris Miller, they believe the DC Cinematic Universe version of the character will be Barry Allen.

This has no doubt come as a surprise to many fans who have been hoping Wally West would take the reins instead. This is mainly because Barry Allen is the front man in the TV show, and as such, fans would prefer to see another take on The Flash where the movie is concerned.

In an interview with Hippo Juice, Phil Lord said they are still working on the story, and that the movie should be very different when compared to the TV show.

"We're trying to break a story. It's interesting, because there's a really popular TV show out there, and we're trying to carve out space for the movie that's apart from that. I think we're doing alright. ... I believe [our Flash] is going to be Barry Allen. ... It's going to be it's own [thing, apart from the TV show] - we're more trying to stick with the cinematic universe... it really is its own thing, and kind of a stand-alone movie. We're just trying to think of the best story. I think you guys will like it, it's kind of a different take on superhero stuff."

DC movie directors have a knack for saying their particular films are different from other superhero movies out there. This makes us curious to see how different these films are, and whether or not they made the right decision.

As for The Flash, we're not certain how different such a movie would develop when compared to something like Avengers: Age of Ultron. The character is a speedster, which means the movie should be lighthearted. Then again, if we go by the comics, Barry Allen is more of a serious guy when compared to Wally West.

At the end of the day, we just want Phil Lord and Chris Miller to deliver a solid movie come 2018. These guys have the talent, so it shouldn't be too much to ask.
