Fox's highly-anticipated revival of The X-Files is about to get underway, and it looks like everyone involved is as excited as the rest of us.

Stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson have both taken to Twitter to share their preparations for filming, and behind-the-scenes crew is getting in on the action too. Filming is scheduled to begin this Monday, June 8, for a January 24, 2016 premiere. The limited series will consist of just six episodes, and is expected to tie up loose ends from the original show's nine-year run — most prominently, the alien invasion conspiracy.

Gillian Anderson, who plays Dana Scully on the show, has most recently been seen on TV on NBC's Hannibal, where she was blonde. But that won't do for The X-Files. Everybody knows Scully is a redhead. Happily, Anderson is on top of things.

Problem solved. Honestly, we'd rather it was shorter — no one rocks a power bob like Scully — but we'll take what we can get.

David Duchovny, aka Fox Mulder, showed his followers mid-flight that he was on his way to Vancouver, where the revival series will shoot. Vancouver is also, by the way, where the show was shot for its first five seasons, before production famously moved to Los Angeles in Season 6.

Anderson and Duchovny have even been teasing fans with a little playful flirting.

Series creator and producer Chris Carter, who's writing and directing the first episode (and probably others, too), has opened an Instagram account in honor of the new X-Files. His first picture shows off a slate being used during filming.

Producer and writer Glen Morgan tweeted an image of the "welcome binder" he received when he arrived at the show's production offices, with a cute caption.

Later, Morgan shared a long-missed sight that brought tears to his eyes.

Even recently-revealed recurring guest star Joel McHale is enjoying his new X-Files notoriety.

(That was a Galaxy Quest reference.)

Series co-star Mitch Pileggi, who's confirmed to return, has so far kept mum on his Twitter account about production ramping up.

How excited are you for the return of The X-Files?
