Last month, director David Ayer unveiled the first group picture from the Suicide Squad. Released just a week after DC Comics fans got their first look at Jared Leto as the Joker, the cast photo shows off Rick Flag, Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Enchantress, Killer Croc, Katana, Captain Boomerang, Slipknot and El Diablo.

While we couldn't have been more excited to see the first image of the gang, some members were not featured in the photo, including the character Common is set to play in the film.

While his role has not yet been identified, new set photos released by SuicideSquad HQ reveal that the actor and musician might be playing the tattooed villain, Abel Tarrant.

Known as the Tattooed Man, this baddie’s tattoos come to "life" as weapons and protection against enemies.

Common is seen in costume, sporting face tattoos and piercings that resemble those of the character, who was originally the adversary of the Green Lantern.

Abel Tarrant's most recognizable tattoo is of a serpent on his head. In the photo, Common is shown with an eye tattoo, along with some other design that covers his skull, but it's not clear if it's a serpent.

Then again, every Suicide Squad member appears to have tattoos — so the set photo may instead have revealed that he's playing Bronze Tiger, since fangs are seen on his jacket.

Suicide Squad follows the story of a league of supervillians who work for the U.S. government to conduct black op missions in exchange for reduced prison sentences.

Suicide Squad hits theaters Aug. 5, 2016.
