The highly-anticipated Moto X (2015) is expected to debut soon and will apparently come in sleek new color options.

Motorola launched its first-generation Moto X back in 2013, drawing lots of interest due to the unprecedented customization options it had to offer. While the handset came with mid-range specs all around, the unparalleled customization turned it into a big hit with consumers who wanted a more personal smartphone experience. In 2014, the company followed up with a new iteration, simply called the new Moto X, or the Moto X 2014.

The second-generation Moto X bumped things up in terms of specs while still retaining the high customization options, boasting notable improvements all around compared to its predecessor.

Motorola is now expected to launch a third Moto X model as its flagship smartphone for 2015, taking things to the next level. Nothing is official at this point, but various leaks and reports try to paint a picture of what to expect.

The latest leak now reveals that Motorola will spice things up in terms of color options, adding sleek new avatars for the Moto X (2015). An image surfaced on Chinese microblogging site Weibo, showing the purported Moto X (2015) in a stylish gold and white combination (see image above).

The image in question shows the new-generation Moto X with a white back panel, complemented by gold a gold side frame and gold color accents surrounding its rear camera.

The new leak makes no mention of hardware specifications or any additional details, but the Moto X (2015) is expected to boast high-end specifications under the hood. Previous rumors hinted at a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, but it remains unconfirmed at this point. Other rumors also suggested the smartphone may launch in two variants with different screen sizes - a 5.2-inch version and a larger 5.7-inch phablet model.

The Moto X (2015) is expected to make its official debut next week, on July 28, alongside a new Moto G (2015) and likely a new Moto 360 smartwatch. With no formal announcement or confirmation from Motorola, however, it's best to take all leaks and reports with a grain of salt for now.
