A teenager in Murfreesboro, Tennessee received a second chance at life after being trapped and rendered immovable under a truck, thanks to no other than Siri, Apple's smart personal digital assistant.

An 18-year-old was working under his truck when the vehicle fell on him, trapping his body and pinning his arms to the ground, reports Fox affiliate Fox 17. The teenager shouted for help, but no one was near enough to hear him.

As if on cue, the man heard the familiar sound from his back pocket that tells him Siri was being activated. Finally finding his chance to get help, the teenager asked Siri to dial 911, and while Siri may be a bit snarky at times, this time Apple's smart-mouthed digital assistant willingly obliged.

Dispatchers immediately sent a team of emergency responders from the Vanderbilt University Medical Center, LifeFlight and Murfreesboro EMS to rescue the man from under his truck and provide the necessary medical treatments.

This adds to the growing list of human lives that Siri has saved. In March, Siri saved a Houston woman's life by dialing 911 after she was shot in the head. 22-year-old Kay Hafford was cut off at the Interstate by one angry driver before she instinctively honked the horn and went on with her life, but the other driver pulled up next to her and shot her in the head through the passenger window. Before Hafford could lose consciousness, she was able to fumble for her iPhone to tell Siri to call 911.

Also, in January, Tim Rutledge, a truck driver in Orlando, Florida was pinned under his truck in the icy weather while he was trying to fix the brakes. His wife was calling him, but his arms, too, were pinned to the ground and he couldn't answer the calls. Luckily, the vibrations from the call caused the iPhone to fall from his pocket and drop into the ground in front of him, which allowed him to tell Siri to call his employer and ask for help.

Prior to that, another teenager, Connor Oliver, suffered a seizure while driving to Blair High School in Blair, Nebraska in December. His truck fell off a ravine and was hidden from sight by other motorists on Highway 133. When Oliver regained consciousness, he felt around for his iPhone but realized frostbite had begun to settle in, so he used his voice to activate Siri and told her to call 911.
