The Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 SuperVeloce Roadster was unveiled by the luxury car company during the motorsports gathering The Quail in Monterey.

A couple of months ago, Stephan Winkelmann, the CEO of Lamborghini, confirmed that the automobile manufacturer would be releasing an open-top, version of the Aventador LP 750-4 SV. The vehicle has now been introduced to the public, though only a limited quantity will be produced.

Lamborghini will only manufacture 500 units of the Aventador LP 750-4 SV Roadster to be distributed around the world, which is even less by 100 units compared to the number of Aventador LP 750-4 SV coupes that the company produced. All the Aventador LP 750-4 SV's were sold in just a few weeks from the vehicle's debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

It remains to be seen how fast the Aventador LP 750-4 SV Roadster will sell out, even at a price of $530,075 that is almost $40,000 higher compared to the $493,069 price tag of the coupe version.

Aside from the higher price, the roadster design and the higher level of exclusivity, there is not much difference between the new version of the Aventador LP 750-4 SV and the previous one. The vehicles are powered by a 739-horsepower, 6.5-liter V-12 engine that allows them to accelerate from rest to 62 mph in just 2.9 seconds, with top speeds of over 217 mph.

The removable roof of the Aventador LP 750-4 SV Roadster features a simple, two-part design that can easily be snapped into place, with construction out of carbon fiber material and weight of only 13 lbs. The removable roof needs to be attached or detached by hand.

The delivery of the Aventador LP 750-4 SV Roadster will begin early next year for those that will be able to purchase the vehicle.

The Aventador SV is currently one of the fastest vehicles in production, with the vehicle able to manage a lap time on the Nürburgring track of just below seven minutes.

Other rumors surrounding Lamborghini is that the automobile manufacturer will be releasing a preview of a new model similar to the Veneno and Reventon that will also have limited production.
