The Lumia 950, Lumia 950 XL, Surface Pro 4, Band 2 wearable, and Xbox One Mini could all debut at a massive Microsoft event in October.

Rumors of upcoming devices from Microsoft have been intensifying as of late, which generally indicates that an official unveiling could be just around the corner. The company is expected to release a number of new products, including new flagships for its smartphone and tablet lineups.

On the smartphone front, Microsoft has not released a new Lumia flagship for quite some time. The last high-end Lumia made its debut back in April 2014, nearly a year and a half ago. The company focused on affordable devices this year, launching several Lumias with entry-level or mid-range specifications at best but no high-end models just yet.

The Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL (previously referred to as the Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL) are widely rumored to arrive as Microsoft's next-generation flagship smartphones, boasting advanced specs and features such as an Iris scanner, among the highlights. It now seems their debut may not be too far off, if newly leaked information turns out to be accurate.

As WMPowerUser reports, Chinese blog WPDang cited some sources claiming that a massive Microsoft event scheduled for October will see the debut of the two new Lumia flagships, as well as the highly anticipated Surface Pro 4, a new wearable gadget called the Band 2, and a Mini variant of the company's Xbox One console. The WPDang report in question mysteriously vanished in the meantime, now retrieving a 404 error for some reason.

Neverthelss, WMPowerUser managed to check out the report before it disappeared and notes that WPDang's sources hinted at an Intel Skylake processor for the upcoming Surface Pro 4 tablet. This is not the first time a Skylake option is rumored for the slate, and additional claims in this direction add more credibility.

When it comes to the Xbox One Mini console, WPDang reportedly suggests that it may be notably more compact at roughly one-third of the size of the regular console, and it may feature Blu-ray playback functionality.

Little to no information is available regarding the purported Microsoft Band 2, but WPDang reportedly expects the gadget to come with a sleek design.

It all remains in the rumor state for now, however, so it's best to take everything with a grain of salt until an official announcement. If Microsoft does indeed plan several big unveilings for October, more information should come to light soon enough.
