The release of Fallout 4 is still about two months away, but Bethesda recently posted on its blog that after the game's release, it won't rest on its laurels: there's more to come after the game hits store shelves in November.

Bethesda offered up new information not just about regular free updates to the game, but also outlined a few details about DLC and a season pass, along with when mods for the game arrive for PC, Xbox One and PS4.

Of course, Bethesda won't give out any details about the game's story before its release, but the company did announce that it plans on offering free updates to the game, similar to what it did for Skyrim. These won't be just game patches, though, the company promises features, such as the mounted combat and legendary mode additions that Skyrim received.

Bethesda also mentioned that Fallout 4 will have DLC, although it gave no details about what that DLC contains. However, a season pass for all DLC goes for $30 and it will arrive soon after the game's launch.

"Since we're still hard at work on the game, we don't know what the actual DLC will be yet, but it will start coming early next year," the company wrote. "Based on what we did for Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Skyrim, we know that it will be worth at least $40, and if we do more, you'll get it all with the Season Pass."

Finally, Bethesda promises that mods aren't coming just for PC, but also for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, which will also get access to the games mods and creation kit for free. The modding kit comes to PC first, followed by the kits for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

"The most important thing in our games is the freedom you have to create your own experience, and modding is a big part of that," wrote Bethesda. "Like all our previous games, we've made sure to keep Fallout 4 open and moddable at every step in development."

Fallout 4 arrives on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on November 10. In the meantime, Fallout fans can play the weird and wacky Fallout Shelter on their mobile devices.
