The upcoming Motorola DROID Turbo 2 will reportedly boast the world's first "shatterproof screen," while the DROID MAXX 2 will rock a 48-hour battery life.

Motorola and Verizon Wireless have been having a fruitful collaboration for several years, launching Verizon-exclusive devices under the Droid lineup. The DROID Turbo 2 and the DROID MAXX 2 will be the latest handsets to join the lineup, both touting impressive highlights to make them stand out from the crowd.

The two companies announced a special event for Oct. 27, when the DROID Turbo 2 and the DROID MAXX 2 will make their official debut. Both handsets have leaked on several occasions so far, painting a pretty clear picture of what to expect, and the latest leak now adds more exciting tidbits of information.

Droid Life now reveals some exclusive details on the two upcoming Droids, as it obtained a Verizon Wireless brochure that advertises the DROID Turbo 2 and the DROID MAXX 2.

According to this newly-leaked brochure, the upcoming DROID Turbo 2 powerhouse will rock a shatterproof screen, which is expected to be the top selling point of the handset. It remains unclear, however, just what technology Motorola used to make the display so rugged. To further sweeten the deal, Verizon apparently plans to offer a neat trade-in option for customers interested in the shatterproof Droid Turbo 2. The brochure lists a credit or gift card of up to $300 for trading in an old smartphone, even one with a cracked screen, toward the purchase of the DROID Turbo 2.

Furthermore, the Motorola DROID Turbo 2 will also come with Moto Maker support, allowing for high customization. Customers will apparently be able to choose from a large number of options, including ballistic nylon and leather, and Motorola will also offer one design refresh for the 64GB variant. The brochure notes that the DROID Turbo 2 will come with more than 1,000 customization options on Moto Maker.

The upcoming Droid Maxx 2, meanwhile, will stand out from the crowd thanks to its excellent battery life, reportedly lasting for up to 48 hours on a single charge. This handset will allow for some customization as well, as it will feature removable shells in various color options such as red, black and green. The DROID MAXX 2 will also come with a similar trade-in offer as the DROID Turbo 2, with Verizon offering up to $300 when trading in a smartphone. On the other hand, the smartphone traded-in toward the purchase of the DROID MAXX 2 will most likely have to be in working condition, as the offer to accept even phones with cracked screens is listed only for the DROID Turbo 2 in the brochure.

Both the DROID MAXX 2 and the DROID Turbo 2 are expected to come with powerful specs and features and Verizon should start selling the handsets shortly after their official unveiling. The launch is just around the corner, so stay tuned.
