ZTE has unveiled the Spro Plus, which is basically a combination of a projector, a tablet and a 4G LTE hotspot

As a projector, the Spro Plus packs an autofocus feature, as well as the horizontal and vertical keystone correction feature that allows users to project images onto any surface without causing any distortions. In addition, the device drops LED technology in favor of laser technology to project images at 500 lumens, which the company claims is the best level for both broad daylight and dark rooms.

Lastly, the Spro Plus has an improved projection ratio, with the device projecting an image of up to 80 inches across by being placed 2.4 meters (7.9 feet) away from the used projection surface.

As a tablet, the Spro Plus has an 8.4-inch AMOLED touchscreen with 2K resolution, along with a JBL audio system with audio output through a pair of 4-watt speakers and voice pickup through HARMAN microphones. The sub-miniature microphones are capable of picking up voices from more than 5 meters (16 feet) away, which is helpful for group meeting situations.

As a 4G LTE hotspot, the Spro Plus has an option of coming as a 4G LTE model, through there is also an option for a Wi-Fi model.

The Spro Plus is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset with 3 GB of RAM, and features an internal memory of 32 GB with microSD card support for up to an additional 128 GB of memory. The device also has a massive 12,100 mAh battery, which can provide up to four hours of projection, along with USB camera support.

The device runs on a customized Android 6.0 Marshmallow with complete access to the Google Play Store. As such, one of the perks of the device is projecting apps onto a wall, which would be a great idea for a Netflix night.

"The Spro Plus is ZTE Mobile Devices' latest example of igniting digital life with imagination," said ZTE CEO Adam Zeng, who added that the device will allow users to have unlimited opportunities for both entertainment and business.

ZTE will begin selling the Wi-Fi model of the device on its website in the summer, with the 4G LTE model to begin sales shortly afterwards. The price for the Spro Plus, however, has not yet been revealed.
