Ford Motor Company returns with its dubbed commercials to feature David Hayter reprising his role as Snake in a Metal Gear Solid themed ad.

Back in December 2015, the car company had hired original voice actors to dub their characters in Dragonball Z. The ads featured Goten and Trunks undergoing a "Fusion" transition and becoming a Ford Fusion while the other ad featured Krillin and Gohan exchanging the 12 dragon balls for a Ford Focus.

Recently, Ford has released two new ad campaigns that use the same technique of advertising on Metal Gear Solid.

David Hayter, the original voice actor for Solid Snake in the previous versions of the game, teased earlier in March that he might be coming back to voice the character. As it turns out, he did, but not in the way fans had expected.

His more recent tweet updated his followers that the videos had been posted on YouTube, only to reveal that it was an advertisement run by Ford and not for the actual game.

The first commercial, titled "A Meeting with Psycho Mantis," features Psycho Mantis reading Snake's mind before a supposed battle. Psycho Mantis attempts to convince Solid Snake that he can read his mind by detailing how Snake eagerly wants a Ford Fusion Titanium. To further prove himself, Psycho Mantis goes on to detail the different features of the car supposedly running through Snake's head: a "2.0L Ecoboost engine"; a "SecuriCode keyless entry;" an "optional power moonroof;" and an "audio system from Sony with 12 speakers" that he describes as "perfect for long Codec calls." The commercial ends with the caption: "Psycho Mantis knows you want one."

The other commercial, titled "A Codec Call to Remember," features the Colonel calling Snake for a Codec update. The Colonel discusses the Ford Fusion SE with Snake and details two of its features, a "standard rear-view camera," and an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimated "36 highway miles per second" which the Colonel states is the "perfect vehicle for Shadow Moses Island." Snake cuts him off by saying that he was going to "Fulton-extract" himself a unit before the line is cut off abruptly and the Colonel screams Snake's name. It ends with the caption, "Practical Vehicular Action."

The videos are currently tagged as "Unlisted" on YouTube which according to the site, can only be seen by those with the link.

Another car company, which had used other media to advertise, is Mercedes-Benz. Last December, the company provided their car models as a free downloadable content (DLC) for Nintendo's Mario Kart.
