The Orbital Science Corp. Antares rocket exploded Tuesday, Oct. 28, after being launched from NASA's Wallops Island Flight Facility.
Fortunately the rocket was unmanned and no one was injured, although there was significant property and vehicle damage. NASA and Orbital Science Corp are investigating the incident.
The explosion came after the launch had been initially delayed due to a sailboat entering the launch range. The rocket was set to carry food, supplies and student experiements to the International Space Station.
Google started preorders for the Nexus 6 Wednesday, with the smartphone selling out just a few hours after the online sale was announced.
Google has not indicated an official shipping date for the Nexus 6, however some leaks suggest it will be available from T-Mobile starting Nov. 12.
The Nexus 6 is being hailed as one of the best smartphones on the market, and has a price tag to match. While previous Nexus devices were aimed at being affordable and showcased the latest version of Android, the Nexus 6 is more aimed at being a flagship device. It is the first smartphone to ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Both CVS and Rite Aid, among other retailers, have pulled support for NFC mobile payments, including Apple Pay and Google Wallet.
The reason is that CVS and Rite Aid are part of a group called Merchant Customer Exchange, which is launching its own mobile payment system, CurrentC, in the beginning of 2015.
Apple Pay has enjoyed a rather successful launch, with more retailers announcing support every week. Amazon has said it plans to bring Apple Pay support to its online store.
Lenovo is now the official owner of Motorola Mobility, after the unit was sold by Google for a whopping $2.91 billion.
Lenovo, with Motorola, now controls around 8 percent of the global smartphone market, making it the third-largest smartphone manufacturer in the world.
Q&A with Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg
Mark Zuckerberg will be hosting a Q&A session, not unlike Reddit's "Ask Me Anything" events.
The event is open for anyone to ask a question, which can be done by leaving a comment on the event's Facebook page. At the event, Zuckerberg will answer the questions with the most likes and the event will last a total of one hour.
