New Year's Rockin' Eve, ABC's annual broadcast, always books big-name stars to help ring in the New Year. This year's contingent included Frozen's Idina Menzel of "Let It Go" fame.

It's a great song, but it turns out that "Let It Go" is a particularly hard song to perform live. Her performance at last year's Academy Awards may be best remembered for John Travolta hilariously botching her name (he inexplicably called her "Adele Dazeem"), but the singer received a bit of criticism for her live rendition there, too, for the timing of her vocals not being in sync with the orchestra.

At New Year's Eve, she belted "Let It Go" out to the adoration of the live crowd in Times Square, but a few of the vocal acrobatics proved to be her nemesis.

Well, because the Internet never can just, you know... let it go... the haters had to hop online and do their thing.

But it's Menzel's classy response that's the real highlight of this story. After her critics got it out of their bitter little systems, the singer took to Twitter herself and commented on the situation using a quote from a magazine interview she'd recently given.

For whatever it's worth, the live crowd in Times Square didn't seem to notice that some of those high notes were a little off.
