It's always sad to find out that your favorite titles are disappearing from Netflix Instant Streaming. However, you're going to want to sit down for this news.

Several BBC shows may be leaving Netflix Instant Streaming come Feb. 1, What's On Netflix Now? first reported. If you don't think that's a big deal, some of those titles include the original and reboot series of Doctor Who, Luther, Torchwood, Top Gear, Red Dwarf and Black Adder, just to name a few. Now do you see why this news is so tragic if it actually happens?

The Netflix pages for all of the titles on the list, which you can view over at What's On Netflix Now?, all show that they're available until Feb. 1, 2015. That means if this contract between the BBC and Netflix doesn't get renewed, you have up until and including Jan. 31, 2015 to binge-watch all of these beloved shows. Well, what are you waiting for?

Of course, we could all be getting worked up over nothing. The BBC could have every intention of renewing its contract with Netflix when the current one is up. Since Netflix is one of the main sources for Yanks to get their Anglophilia on in the States, I reckon it's pretty likely these titles will return, if not next month, in the near future. All we can do is air our grievances with Queen Elizabeth II to get this done. That's how it works, right?

Luckily, not every BBC title on Netflix is on the chopping block. If for some reason the listed titles do disappear from Instant Streaming, there will still be a lot of great programming with fancy accents for you to peruse. You've got the heartwarming and heartwrenching Call the Midwife, which will return in the U.S. for Season 4 on March 29 on PBS. Sherlock will also be sticking around, as will Happy Valley, which is a BBC show actually distributed by Netflix in the U.S., but I'm counting it anyway.

There's also plenty of other non-BBC British TV shows remaining on Netflix Instant Streaming to help you get your British fix. There's too many to name here, but might I suggest some of the bigger, more recent ones, like The IT Crowd, The Bletchley Circle and Black Mirror to get you started?

So you see, if something crazy does end up happening to the BBC titles on Netflix Instant Streaming, we certainly won't be happy, but we'll survive.
